Who Inspires Me?

Being inspired as an artist is important, as it helps you produce your best work. Coming across someones work that you just love the look of, or how they produced it can inspire you to pick your paint brush up. I always find looking at work, that I'm inspired by, helps me out of my 'artist block' and gives me that push of creativity that I need.
Professional Inspiration:
David Hockney : Hockney has inspired more of my pop arts. I was inspired by the bold colours used in his work especially in his 1960's to 1980's scene.
Vincent Van Gogh : I love how Van Gogh worked his brush in the paintings 'The Starry Night' and Wheatfields with Crows'. Using small strokes to produce the swirl affect in the paintings, he surely creates a nichè look to his work.
Personal Inspiration:
My nan:
My Nan has always been creative with how she decorates her home and loves playing with colour. She's someone to experiment with colour schemes and thinking outside the box. At the moment her living room is a harmonious colour palette, using ochre yellows, olive greens and muted blues. As well as this she's always wearing vibrant colours in her everyday wear. She is the person who inspires me to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to designing and creating.
